ADRA Eswatini Health Sector
Projects implemented under the Health Sector
Through her projects in the health sector, ADRA Eswatini used an intergrated approach to strengthen the social capital (community-based counselling, effective parenting, addressing GBV, providing community forums to challenge cultural issues; building life skills for improved decision making, strengthening self-esteem, making independent decisions, community service and leadership), strengthen human and economic capitals (vocational training, access to financial support for economic activities), natural capitals (community service such as reforestation). This is in addition to the improvement of the quality of life for school going children through structural improvements for WASH and construction of kitchens for proper food preparation to enhance the nutritional status for the children. ADRA, Eswatini is also implementing a project that enables HIV/AIDS affected people to have their voice heard. Through this project the quality of care and services for PLWHI will be improved at facility level as the project will assist with issue of advocacy for this vulnerable group. The project will also assist in strengthening the feedback mechanism for the office.
